  • Grants of up to $30,000 are available from a total pool of $360,000
  • Applications close on 15 March 2024

The Cook Government’s Access Asia Business Grants (AABG) program is now open for applications as it begins its sixth round of funding.

The AABG program is a key initiative under Western Australia’s Asian Engagement Strategy 2019-2030 – Our future with Asia.

Since its inception in 2019, the competitive grants program has awarded around $1.4 million to 80 local enterprises and organisations to assist them gaining access to new Asian markets.

Grant recipients can use AABG funding for activities including scoping new supply chains, developing export plans, gathering in-market intelligence to capture new opportunities and developing new marketing collateral for Asian markets.

This latest round will award individual grants of up to $30,000 to eligible applicants, from a total pool of $360,000.

Recipients need to provide a net co-cash contribution at a ratio of at least 20:80 applicant-to-State Government funding.

Proposed projects must fall under at least one of the Diversify WA priority sectors of energy; tourism, events and creative industries; international education; defence industries; mining and mining equipment, technology and services (METS); space industries; health and medical life sciences; and primary industries.
