Support for communities impacted by floods

Communities in South East Queensland and Northern NSW have endured some of their worst ever flooding over the past week. Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in evacuation centres and businesses have been destroyed or badly damaged.

Since the situation began to unfold in Queensland, Transurban has been working with our local community partners and organisations to provide immediate support where it is needed most. We’ve been focused on providing targeted community grants to help with emergency recovery, so far providing money to:

  • GIVIT to purchase grocery vouchers for impacted households in Logan
  • Community+ to purchase food supplies for flood recovery volunteers on Brisbane’s southside
  • Baby Give Back to provide essential baby products to families in need
  • Logan House Fire Support Network to provide essential items for the clean up, food hampers and fuel vouchers
  • Nexus Care to provide emergency food and financial relief in the northern suburbs of Brisbane
  • Lighthouse Loganholme to purchase food vouchers
  • Loganlea Community Centre providing emergency food relief
  • Access Community Services for food and fuel vouchers
  • Kingston East Neighbourhood Centre providing food and laundry service
  • Foodbank covering transportation costs for donated foods to frontline charities
  • Suited to Success providing clothing packs to flood affected people
  • Ocean Crusaders to clear debris out of the Brisbane River and Moreton Bay.

We’re also encouraging customers who have been impacted by the floods and need help managing their tolls to contact our dedicated hardship team Linkt Assist for support.
