As stated by Minister for Agriculture Jaclyn Symes

“We’re getting on with giving our animal shelters and rescue organisations the funds they need to make lives better for animals.”

“We’re improving the welfare of animals across Victoria through a range of measures, including funding to improve current shelters, facilities and programs, and by reforming of Victoria’s animal welfare laws, including ending cruel and barbaric puppy farming.”

“These animal welfare grants play an important part in supporting organisations improve or upgrade their current facilities and we’re proud to play our small part in making that a reality.”
