Supporting Regional Chambers of Commerce

Acting Minister for Small Business,Michael Ferguson

The Tasmanian Liberal Government recognises the important role that Regional Chambers of Commerce play in building strong and diverse local economies.

I’m pleased to announce that applications for the Regional Chambers of Commerce Collaboration and Business Development Grant Program open today, which provides support to regional chambers, giving them the resources they need to assist and support their small business members and promote business collaboration and development in their regions.

Funding of up to $10,000 per year for up to three years is available to eligible organisations to develop and implement new projects or initiatives that contribute to small business COVID-19 recovery or resilience.

Successful projects may also promote collaboration between chamber members, improve access to support offered by the respective regional chamber, increase information sharing, and build support networks between members and their respective industry sectors.

Total funding of $300,000 over three years is available for the program.
