Supporting Territorians Get Into Work Through Sport

NT Government

A program which helps young Territorians get work ready through participation in Aussie Rules Football will continue to provide life changing opportunities for young people in Central Australia.

The Territory Labor Government will provide $600,000 over the next three years to fund the Redtails Pinktails Right Track program in Alice Springs.

The funding will allow the program to continue delivering employment support initiatives including job ready mentoring, work experience and pathways to potential employment.

The Right Track Program also works to improve the health and education outcomes for its participants while they pursue their aspirations of playing footy at a higher level.

Supported by passionate and committed volunteers and coaches, the program is fostering healthier lifestyles, promoting leadership skills, and bolstering community engagement throughout Central Australia.

The program provides an Australian Rules Football program five days per week in Alice Springs, building strong physical and social and emotional skills for participants.
