Suspicious fires overnight, South Australia

Police and fire crews were kept busy overnight following two separate suspicious fires.

Just after 11.30pm on Monday 10 December, patrols and fire crews were called to house on Sandy Crescent at Salisbury Park after reports of a fire.

No one was home at the time and damage is estimated at around $300,000.

Investigations are continuing and detectives from Elizabeth CIB will be attending the scene later this morning.

Then just before 4am on Tuesday 11 December, patrols and fire crews were called to Bond Street at Welland after a Holden sedan was set alight.

Enquiries revealed the car was stolen from a Woodville Park address sometime between 17 and 18 November.

Damage was confined to the rear of the vehicle and investigations are continuing.
