Swan Hill Stadium set to reopen

The Stadium in Swan Hill is set to reopen next week following extensive renovation works recently.

Renovation works were a joint project of the Stadium’s user groups and Swan Hill Rural City Council including disabled access, improved seating, foyer viewing and exterior cladding.

Council’s Director Development and Planning Heather Green said Council was looking forward to unveiling the fantastic improvements at the facility to the community.

“The Stadium is looking great following recent renovations and we’re delighted to finally reopen.

“We know that the community is eager to look at the new transformation and we are confident that they will be impressed” she said.

The Stadium will be reopening on Wednesday, 4 November.

Ms Green said the reopening would adhere to current COVID-19 restrictions and would be limited to particpants18 years and under.

“Both training and shooting sessions will be allowed, however contact sports are currently not yet allowed,” she said.

Ms Green said Stadium bookings were essential and timeslots would be issued to keep track of attendance and cleaning requirements.

“It is not currently possible to cater for walk ins at this time,” she added.
