Tallebudgera Creek closed as precaution

A section of Tallebudgera Creek has been closed to swimming as a precaution following a sewage spill in the waterway late yesterday.

Repairs have now stopped the spill, however, the City of Gold Coast environment team has determined that the section from Schuster Park to Tallebudgera Creek Beach (adjacent to the Neptune Royal Surf Lifesaving Club) remains closed until the results from water sampling have been received and indicate that the waterways are safe.

The safety of our staff, residents and visitors is our number one priority and clean-up is well underway.

Residents and visitors are asked to obey all signage and avoid using the waterway/catchment for recreational purposes until further notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank all customers/residents/visitors for their patience and assistance.
