Twelve of Tasmania’s top food and beverage producers will be on show this week at Fine Food Australia, Australia’s leading gourmet food and beverage trade exhibition.
This year the event will be held in Melbourne from 5 to 8 September with around 26,000 visitors expected, providing the ideal platform for targeted Tasmanian trade marketing activities.
We know that Tasmania has what the world wants, and this is another great opportunity to showcase our premium produce and increase our presence in the Australian domestic market .
Visitors can discover the latest innovative food products from Tasmanian companies, including abalone from the North West, honey cured bacon from the deep south, spirits from one of our finest distilleries, and cider from our delicious cool climate apples.
Supporting our producers and exporters to grow their markets is an integral part of our Tasmanian Trade Action Plan 2022–23, and delivering Tasmanian experiences at key domestic and international tradeshows is doing just that.
Tasmanian companies currently export nearly $1 billion in food and beverages each year and exports in this sector are growing at more than 8 per cent a year, despite the COVID-19 related disruptions.
With at least seven international trade missions and participation in a range of both domestic and international trade shows already being planned, it once again confirms our ongoing commitment to take our world-class quality to the rest of Australia, and the world.
