TASTY GROWTH FOR HEALTHY MEAL COMPANY

Lite n' Easy

Following the news of competitor Jenny Craig going into voluntary administration, demand for Lite n’ Easy, Australia’s best healthy meal delivery service, continues to grow rapidly.

In the first quarter of 2023, Lite n’ Easy saw a continued increase in growth of new customers wanting to lose weight and improve their overall health and quality of life.

“Consumers still have an appetite for weight loss, but they are looking for more innovative solutions. That’s part of the reason we have seen weight loss medications like Ozempic explode in popularity,” said Accredited Practising Dietitian for Lite n’ Easy Ashleigh Jones.

“Ozempic has been a game changer for weight loss for many people, but it doesn’t offer the whole solution. Eating enough nutrient-dense whole foods is essential to improving our health and wellbeing.”

“When it comes to chronic conditions like heart disease and type 2 diabetes, weight loss is only part of the solution – we need to get people eating enough whole foods to provide the nutrients needed to maximise our health and wellbeing.”

“These days, brands need to offer more than just weight loss at any cost. Convenience is a big piece of the puzzle, but food also needs to offer some real nutritional value. And above all, it needs to taste good. Consumers today understand that health is about so much more than just losing weight, it takes more than movement on the scale to build customer loyalty.”

“Our team of dietitians ensures our meals hit the mark nutritionally, and our chefs make the meals taste so good customers want to keep coming back. That’s the secret to improving people’s health over the long term,” added Ashleigh.

Lite n’ Easy has also seen significant growth in the number of time poor consumers looking for a more convenient way to enjoy healthy food and give back time to their busy lifestyles. In response, they have been diversifying their business model to ensure more Australians have access to a healthier diet.

“We have been focusing on new products and markets over the past twelve months to offer more solutions for Australians to eat better. Improving the overall health and well-being of our customers with nutritious, ready-made meals is the key to our success,” said new CEO Nathan Hayman.

The company is now also helping Australians make heathier choices when visiting the supermarket.

Already adding to the successful retail launch of their Select Range frozen meals, Lite n’ Easy have just launched a new fresh, ready-made meal to the retail market too.

The new Tastexpress range meals will be sold in the chilled ready meal section in 63 Drakes Supermarkets across South Australia and Queensland from this month. The range will then be rolled out to other supermarkets across the country later this year.

“We’re an Australian business and we’re here to serve the Australian community. We know how busy Australians are and we want to make it easier for people to make healthy, convenient and delicious choices,” added Nathan.

Lite n’ Easy has also been overwhelmed with demand from older Australians wanting healthy ready-made meals.

Off the back of this demand the company have specifically created a range of My Choice meals, tailored to meet the nutritional needs of older Australians with reduced appetites.

They now deliver over 10 million of these meals per to those who qualify for the federally funded Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or Home Care Package (HCP), making Lite n’ Easy the largest ready prepared meal provider nationwide for older Australians.

Earlier this year the Australian company was rated the number one healthy meal delivery service for the fourth year in a row by Canstar Blue.

Lite n’ Easy’s CEO Nathan Hayman said, “We are thrilled to be rated number 1 again this year and are proud we were able to continue to deliver healthy meals safely to all of our customers, especially those who were most at risk over the past few years.”

“We are very proud of how we have moved with the times and it is clear we are giving

Australians what they want as our business continues to grow thanks to our innovation and forward thinking,” he said.

“We are passionate about educating people on what a healthy lifestyle looks like that produces long term health benefits,” he added.

Lite n’ Easy believes eating well is at the heart of health and wellbeing. Their dietitians and chefs create delicious, modern dishes, all nutritionally balanced and perfectly portioned to make healthy eating or weight management simple and enjoyable. Healthy meals are prepared daily using the freshest, quality ingredients. The Australian brand has been delivering nutritious meals and snacks for more than 30 years.
