A teenage boy has been charged with multiple weapon and traffic related offences after being arrested in the car park of a hardware store in Villawood overnight.
Officers attached to Strike Force Puma were patrolling Villawood about 9.30pm (Friday 31 July 2026), when they saw a ute performing burnouts in the carpark off Woodville Road.
Police arrested the alleged driver, a 17-year-old boy, at the scene.
Registration checks revealed the boy was disqualified from driving July next year, while the vehicle’s number plates identified them as being registered to a different vehicle.
A subsequent search of the youth and the vehicle was conducted, with two Glock-style firearms located, one of which police allege was down the front of the boy’s pants. Also allegedly located in the ute were two knives, a balaclava, a second set of stolen number plates, and cannabis.
The youth was taken to Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with 10 offences,
- Possess unauthorised pistol
- Custody of knife in public place
- Possess prohibited drug
- Possess means of disguising face with intent commit indictable offence
- Unlawfully possess number plates (two counts)
- Use class A vehicle with unauthorised number plate affixed
- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (2nd+ offence)
- Use unregistered registrable Class A motor vehicle, and
- Prolong, sustain etc loss of traction (2nd+ offence)
He’s been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Children’s Court later today (Saturday 1 August 2026).
