Teen dies, second teen critical after double stabbing at Parramatta, NSW

A teenage girl has died and a second is in a critical condition following a stabbing at Parramatta overnight.

About 10.45pm (Friday 18 December 2020), emergency services were called to an apartment complex on Church Street, Parramatta, following reports of a stabbing.

Two girls – both aged 17 – were found suffering stab wounds.

They were taken to Westmead Hospital where one the youths died. She is yet to be formally identified.

The other remains in a critical condition.

Officers attached to the Parramatta Police Area Command, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Benbullen to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, a 19-year-old man was arrested at Parramatta Police Station about 2.50am today (Saturday 19 December 2020).

They are all known to each other.
