Teenage Boy Charged With Break In At Orange

A teenager boy has been charged after allegedly breaking into a business and stealing money in the state’s west.

About 10.50am on Wednesday (10 June 2026), officers attached to Central West Police District were called to a business on Forest Road, Orange, following reports of a break in and theft.

Police were told a young person allegedly smashed a front window before entering the store.

He allegedly removed the register and cash before leaving the scene.

Police established a crime and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police from Central West Proactive Crime Team arrested a 15-year-old boy at a home in Orange before were taken to Orange Police Station.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal, destroy or damage property and breach of bail.

The boy was refused bail; to appear at a children’s court today (Friday 12 June 2026).
