Teenage girl airlifted from scene of single vehicle crash at Lithgow, NSW

A teenage girl was airlifted from the scene of a single vehicle crash in the state’s Central Tablelands overnight.

About 4.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 September 2019), emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Hassans Walls Road at Lithgow.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District were told the vehicle lost control as it descended from the location, hitting several trees before coming to rest down an embankment.

The front seat passenger, a 16-year-old girl, suffered a compound fracture to her left arm. She was airlifted to Westmead Hospital for surgery.

The 17-year-old male driver and 16-year-old female rear seat passenger were taken to Lithgow Hospital for observation.

A crime scene was established and investigations are ongoing.
