Cairns Regional Council advises that the Babinda Transfer Station has been closed temporarily due to flooding.
The transfer station will be closed today and tomorrow (January 6 and 7). Depending on weather conditions, it is anticipated the facility will reopen on Friday.
A bulk bin has been placed at the Council depot on Council Lane, Babinda (off Peever Road) for residents to dispose of household waste.
Council apologises for the inconvenience.
