Third man charged over shooting in Blackheath

A third man has been charged over a shooting at a home in Blackheath earlier this month.

About 4.30am on Friday 13 December 2019, emergency services were called to a home on Connaught Road following reports of possible shots fired.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and found two men, aged 25 and 31, suffering gunshot wounds.

Both men were taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, where they remain receiving on-going treatment.

Following inquiries, two men – aged 21 and 23 – were arrested in Katoomba on the evening of Friday 13 December 2019.

Both men were taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with intent to murder (x2), wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (x2) and possess unregistered firearm.

They remain before the courts.

About 3pm yesterday (Thursday 19 December 2019), a 25-year-old man was arrested on Castlereagh Street, Penrith and taken to Springwood Police Station.

He was charged with shoot at with intent to murder and refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 20 December 2019).
