Three charged as inquiries into Kings Cross brawl continue, NSW

Three men have been charged as investigations continue following a brawl in Sydney’s CBD yesterday morning.

About 2.30am (Sunday 26 May 2019), police were called to Bayswater Road, Potts Point, after reports of two groups of men fighting.

Officers attached to Kings Cross Police Area Command attended and arrested three men – aged 29, 28, and 19 – who were taken to Kings Cross Police Station.

Three other men left the scene before police arrived, however they were located and spoken to nearby.

The men were allowed to leave pending further inquiries.

Following inquiries, the trio who were arrested were all charged with affray, both the 29-year-old and 19-year-old men granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 18 June 2019.

The 28-year-old man was refused bail and appeared via AVL yesterday (Sunday 26 May 2019), where he was granted conditional bail to reappear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 5 June 2019.

Inquiries into the brawl are continuing.
