Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged murder of a young woman in the State’s Riverina region seven weeks ago.
Emergency services were called to a home on Ziegler Avenue at Kooringal about 11.45am on Saturday 19 September 2026 and found 23-year-old Danielle Madgwick suffering multiple stab wounds to her upper body. Despite efforts by NSW Ambulance paramedics, she died at the scene.
A crime scene was established by officers attached to Riverina Police District, with detectives forming Strike Force Ralore to investigate her death.
About 8pm that same day, a 31-year-old man – alleged to be Danielle’s partner – was arrested and subsequently charged with murder. He remains before the courts.
Following extensive investigations over the past seven weeks, Riverina Detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Zeigler Avenue about 7am last Saturday (7 November 2026), and arrested two men, aged 18 and 56, and a 53-year-old woman.
They were taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where they were each charged with one accessory after the fact to murder (DV).
They were refused police bail to appear in Bail Division Local Court 5 that day. All three were refused bail to next appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 23 December 2026.
Police will allege in court all three were known to the woman.
