Three new public schools to open in NSW

Students in Blacktown, Wagga Wagga and Camden will soon have access to new state-of-the-art learning facilities with construction to commence in late 2020.

The three new schools will cater to students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with a combined enrolment of 2500 primary students and a total investment of $127 million into local communities.

  • $48 million public school for 1000 students in Marsden Park, Blacktown
  • $36 million public school for 480 students at Estella Road, Wagga Wagga
  • $43 million public school for 1000 students in Catherine Field.

As part of the Planning System Acceleration Program, construction of the new schools will create 950 jobs.

The schools form part of the NSW Government’s $6.7 billion investment in education – ensuring students across NSW are best-equipped to take on the future.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said construction will commence on all three schools within the coming months.

“We are committed to improving education standards right across NSW, and that includes providing new and improved environments for our students to learn in,” Ms Berejiklian said.
