Rugby fans can soon get their hands on tickets for the Australian leg of the 2024 HSBC SVNS at HBF Park, when tickets go on sale next week.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 9.00am on Wednesday, 25 October, with general public tickets on sale from 9.00am on Friday, 27 October, starting from $45.
The event is supported by the WA Government and will take place from 26-28 January 2024 and again in 2025 in an Australian-exclusive.
Tickets are available for all three days of action in the 2024 tournament, which is being hosted at the newly upgraded HBF Park. It will include live music, a food market, beach club, and a party stand, in addition to world-class rugby matches.
A variety of premium hospitality tickets providing access to exclusive VIP experiences will also be available to purchase when general public tickets go on sale on 27 October.
Previously known as the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, HSBC SVNS attracts the world’s top rugby nations to play an alternative rugby union format.
The tournament involves teams of seven players competing in seven-minute halves with round robin and knockout matches over three days.
Twelve men’s and twelve women’s national teams will go head-to-head in eight rounds of the championship, with Perth hosting round three of the tournament.
Other host cities include Cape Town, Dubai, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Madrid, Singapore and Vancouver.
The tournament is expected to bring thousands of out-of-state rugby fans to WA, generating millions of dollars in visitor spend and providing a boost to local hospitality, accommodation, and tourism businesses.
HSBC SVNS will also be broadcast to a global audience, putting thousands of eyes on WA as the State continues to grow its reputation for hosting international sporting events.
The sport has a strong following in many of WA’s key international inbound tourism markets including China, Singapore, United Kingdom, and the United States.
HSBC SVNS was established in 1999 and has continued to grow in popularity, with the rugby sevens format included as a sport at the Summer Olympic Games since 2016.
