A Toowoomba couple have been pinching themselves in disbelief after unwrapping a $100,000 win on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket from their daughter.

The gifted $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Northpoint News, Shop 2, North Point Shopping Centre, 121-131 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.

“It’s been a bit of a shock,” the winning wife said when we called to confirm their prize.

“The ticket was gifted to my husband as a birthday present from our daughter.

“We didn’t know whether to believe if it was real or not. We thought that these sorts of things only happen to other people, not us.

“We’ve spent the past week convincing ourselves it’s fake. We were hoping it was real and now we know it is.

“We’ll give our daughter her fair share and then pay off our car and house.

“Thank you so much!”

Northpoint News owner Dianne Stevenson shared she was overjoyed to discover the wonderful news that her outlet had sold another major prize-winning ticket, just weeks after selling a division one winning syndicate share.

“It was very exciting to hear the wonderful news that we’d sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000,” she said.

“It’s an amazing win for one of our very own customers.

“We recently sold a division one winning syndicate share in a Saturday Gold Lotto draw and have already been celebrating with balloons and streamers. Now, with this win, we’ll be continuing the celebrations.

“Congratulations to our winner! We’re incredibly happy for you and we hope the win brings you and your family great joy.”
