All of Liverpool City Council’s early childhood education centres have earned the top rating of ‘Exceeding National Quality Standards’ from the NSW Department of Education.
Council received the results last week of final assessments of its Cecil Hills and Holsworthy early education and care centres conducted in December 2019.
“Early childhood education centres are assessed through a stringent process by the NSW Department of Education every three to four years,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.
“Earning the top rating of ‘Exceeding National Quality Standards’ is no easy feat and is a credit to our Children’s Services staff, who build genuine connections with all their children and are passionate about being part of their growth.
“From early education to tertiary studies, Council is committed to ensuring Liverpool is a one-stop shop for outstanding education.”
Mayor Waller said the ratings set a benchmark for quality early education and care in the region.
“Our staff love what they do and we’re incredibly proud to have our efforts in providing quality service for families in Liverpool recognised by the NSW Government,” Mayor Waller said.
“We have a lot of families on our early education waiting list, however we encourage families to learn more about the wide array of Children’s Services we provide in which their children can still take part.”

Council operates six early education and care centres in Cecil Hills, Hinchinbrook, Holsworthy, Prestons, Warwick Farm and Wattle Grove, as well as Casula Preschool. The centres were assessed between June 2018 and December 2019.
