MidCoast Council will undertake a major marketing campaign to promote awareness of its tourism destination brand, Barrington Coast.

This is the first campaign of its kind for Council and follows a difficult 18 months with the region impacted by drought, bushfires, heavy rains and COVID19 restrictions.

The campaign invites local tourism operators to purchase partner packages within the campaign and allows a closer working relationship through a more collaborative approach between Council’s team, the engaged marketing experts and the businesses involved.

The Barrington Coast team hopes to see the campaign capitalise on the high levels of domestic travel currently being experienced in NSW as international travel remains on hold.

Deb Tuckerman, Manager Growth, Economic Development and Tourism, said there will be a carefully constructed mix of online, outdoor and social media tiers.

“The digital space is where consumers are looking at the moment, so that’s where most of our focus will be,” explained Deb.
