Traffic management measures on roads with landslips

As part of Council’s ongoing cleanup work following two severe weather events in September and October, traffic management signage has been installed in Apollo Bay, Skene’s Creek, Separation Creek and Wye River. This includes speed reductions to 40 km/hr and barriers to keep vehicles off the edge of the landslips for the safety of road users.

The roads include:

– Binns Road – 2 sites (one at the Great Ocean Road end and one near the Beech Forrest end)

– Killala Road, Apollo Bay

– Barham River Road, Apollo Bay – sites are located towards the end of the road

– Wild Dog Road, Skenes Creek – there are numerous sites

– Morley Avenue, Wye River

– Harrington Street, Separation Creek

– Wallace Street, Wye River

Property owners are still able to access their properties and Council urges drivers to take caution and drive to the conditions on these roads.
