Two charged, clan lab and weapons seized by Taskforce Maxima

Police have seized weapons and drugs, including a drug manufacturing lab, following a raid at a property with links to the Comanchero and Bandido Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs in Chandler yesterday.

During a search of a property on Old Cleveland Road, officers from Taskforce Maxima – Organised Crime Gangs Group located a clandestine laboratory used to produce crystal methylamphetamine (ice), along with 30 grams of ice, cannabis, a significant quantity of substance believed to be a dangerous drug (yet to be analysed), machine gun, handgun and ammunition.

The illicit laboratory team (ILIT) attended the location to remove the lab items and render the property safe.

A 45-year-old Chandler man has been charged with possession dangerous drugs over schedule (Ice), produce dangerous drug, possession dangerous drug (cannabis), possession property suspected to have been used in the commission of a crime, four charges of unlawful possession of weapons, possession thing used in commission of a crime, two charges of possession of explosives (ammunition). He is scheduled to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 28 August 2020.

A 45-year-old Petrie Terrace man was issued a notice to appear for drug possession offences and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on 23 September 2020.
