Emergency services are at the scene of a light plane crash about 25km west of Grafton, where two people are believed to have died.
About 8.50am (Tuesday 12 December 2023), emergency services were called to Winegrove Road, Lilydale, following reports a light plane had crashed into powerlines.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District, NSW Ambulance, and Fire and Rescue NSW, and NSW SES are on scene.
It’s believed two people on the aircraft have died. Police are working to identify the occupants of the plane.
Police will be working with aviation authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
