Two men charged over alleged commercial supply of cocaine – Wollongong

Two men have been charged with supplying a commercial quantity of cocaine in Wollongong, as part of Strike Force Fredericton.

In June 2023, Detectives from Wollongong Police District commenced Strike Force Fredericton, to investigate the alleged supply of cocaine in Wollongong’s Northern suburbs.

Around 12.30 yesterday (Thursday 23 November 2023), officers attached to Wollongong Police District executed a search warrant at a business premises, on the Princes Highway, Woonona.

At the business, police located and seized cocaine, steroids and a large quantity of cash, which police will allege in court is the proceeds of drug supply.

Shortly after, officers from Wollongong High Visibility Policing and Raptor South executed search warrants at a unit on the Princes Highway, Woonona and a home in Walter Street, Mangerton.

Inside both homes, police allegedly located and seized quantities of cocaine, cash and steroids.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the Woonona business and taken to Wollongong Police Station.

He was charged with supply a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (two counts), and possess steroids.

He was refused bail and will appear in Wollongong Local Court today (Friday 24 November).

About 4.45pm yesterday (Friday 24 November 2023), a 33-year-old man was arrested at Wollongong Police Station.

The Woonona man was charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity) and possess prohibited drug.

He has been bail refused to Wollongong Local Court today (Friday 24 November 2023).
