Two Scrub Fires In Bentley Are Being Investigated

Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating two scrub fires that occurred in Bentley on Monday, 4 March 2024.

The two fires were ignited around 7pm on the southern side of Leach Highway near Manning Road, Bentley and Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel attended to extinguish the fires before they impacted on nearby homes and businesses.

The cause of the fires are being treated as suspicious and Strike Force Vulcan officers wish to speak anyone who saw any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity in the area of the fire, particularly anyone who saw a person running across Leach Highway around 7pm.

Anyone with any information relating to this fire is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
