Two women critical after Tambo Upper crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in Tambo Upper yesterday.

Police believe a Mazda station wagon was travelling north along Tambo Upper Road towards Bruthen when it lost control, flipped onto its roof and crashed into a tree about 3.10pm on Saturday 23 May.

The front passenger in the vehicle, a 47-year-old Bruthen woman, suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne.

The rear passenger, a 20-year-old Lakes Entrance woman, also suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Bruthen woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage of the incident, or was in the area at the time to contact police.
