GENEVA (29 November 2022) — The UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation, Pedro Arrojo-Agudo, will visit the Republic of Peru from 1 to 15 December 2022.
The Special Rapporteur will meet with State authorities and officials at national and municipal level, civil society organisations and individuals. He will analyse the key elements of the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation such as accessibility, quality and safety and affordability. In addition, the UN expert is interested in water governance mechanisms and the impact of pollution and climate change on the country’s hydrologic map.
