Enquiries are underway following the discovery of a body in Tikipunga on Sunday 8 January.
Police were called to a location near Amy Kate Street around 5.30pm.
A formal identification has now been completed and we can confirm the body is that of 41-year-old Moana Marsden, who had previously been reported as missing.
At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained.
