University will be open on Monday 16 March

USC will be open for business on Monday 16 March and Tuesday 17 March, following recommendations made today by the Australian Government.

The University is closely adhering to the advice of the Queensland and Australian governments in relation to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Prime Minister Scott Morrison today announced that schools and universities around Australia would not be required to close at this stage.

Also today, Queensland Health provided USC with official advice that Federal Member for Dickson Peter Dutton was not considered infectious when he attended the USC Moreton Bay VIP opening on Monday 9 March and posed no risk to others attending.

In advance of receiving this advice, USC took the precautionary measure of deep-cleaning the new building at USC Moreton Bay. It will be open as normal from Monday 16 March.

More information about the coronavirus is available on the USC website.
