Unlawful entry – Central Desert

Northern Territory Police are investigating an unlawful entry at a Central Desert Roadhouse earlier this morning.

Just before 2:30am, police received a report from the manager of the Erldunda Roadhouse regarding an incident of unlawful entry and theft at their premises.

According to the report, a silver Toyota Prado, bearing a towel concealing its license plate, was used in an attempt to gain access to the roadhouse. The offenders used a ratchet straps to secure the vehicle to the front doors, ripping the doors from the wall, causing significant damage to both the doors and the door frame.

Once inside the location, the offenders proceeded to steal a substantial quantity of alcohol before fleeing the scene.

Strike Force Viper are actively investigating the matter.

If anyone witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Erldunda Roadhouse, has dashcam footage or a silver Toyota Prado in the area around the time of the incident or has any information on the whereabouts of the vehicle, please contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
