Unlawful entry in Alice Springs 30 July

Northern Territory Police apprehended four youth in relation to the criminal damage and unlawful entry of a business in the Alice Springs overnight.

Around 2:30am Police CCTV operators observed a group of 12 youth in the Todd Mall, several of whom were seen causing damage to a business before gaining entry inside.

Police officers arrived on scene and disturbed the group who fled the scene. Four youth were arrested following a foot chase throughout the CBD.

Three boys, aged 13, 13 and 12 and a 13-year-old girl were apprehended and will be considered for youth diversion.

Inquiries to identify the other youth involved continue.
