Unlawful wounding in Kuraby, QLD

Police are investigating the unlawful wounding of a 29-year-old Moorooka man in Kuraby last night.

At about 9pm, police will allege two cars were parked at Svoboda Park on the corner of Beenleigh Road and Stiller Drive.

Investigations indicate the 26-year-old man exited his car and entered the second car, before both the man and the driver left the park and drove along Beenleigh Road.

A short time later, the car has lost control, coming to a stop causing significant damage.

Police will allege that during the drive, the driver stabbed the 26-year-old Moorooka man twice in the chest and once in the abdomen.

The driver subsequently left the scene on foot and has not been located since.

It is believed the man and driver were known to each other.

Police and emergency services attended the scene and the man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

Two crime scenes have been declared and investigations are ongoing.
