Water supply is temporarily unavailable to properties along Byron Street, Daintree Drive, Carnarvon Court, Lakefield Avenue, Cooloola Avenue, Kalbarri Place, Yuraygir Place due to a water main break that occurred this afternoon.
We ask that residents please refrain from using water at this time. Ballina Shire Council’s Water and Wastewater team are onsite carrying out repairs and will make every effort to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. At this stage, the water is not expected to be returned until after 6pm.
Other parts of the Lennox Head village may also have low water pressure and intermittent outages.
Council apologises for the inconvenience and will continue to provide updates via local media, Council’s website and on social media once more information is available.
Here’s some things to remember that will assist you during this outage:
- During any water disruption it’s important to leave your taps off as the water may return at any time.
- When water returns it may be discoloured. This is due to sediment. Please run the tap until your water runs clear.
- Your water may appear milky. This is caused by small air bubbles. Don’t be alarmed it is not harmful, and will settle in a short period.
