Up To $5.3 Million Awarded For Heritage Grants

The Australian Government is awarding up to $5.3 million to 20 projects under Round 8 (2025-26) of the Australian Heritage Grants Program.

Funding will support the protection, management and promotion of Australia’s National Heritage places. These include some of our most significant Indigenous, natural and historic places. They are the places that reflect our shared history, shape our national identity, and are assessed as having ‘outstanding value’ to the nation.

Some of the Round 8 (2025-26) grants include:

  • $400,000 to protect Watarrka National Park’s unique flora
  • $122,567 to protect rock art and archaeological sites in Quinkan Country
  • $240,000 to guide future restoration of the Beechworth Administrative Precinct
  • $399,980 for conservation management in the Tasmanian Wilderness.
