Police can now name the man who died following an incident at an address in Opunake last week.
He was Xenan Daniel Ratahi, 25-years-old, of Opunake.
Police were called to a private address in Opunake on 4 November after reports of an altercation.
Mr Ratahi later died in hospital.
The homicide investigation into Mr Ratahi’s death is ongoing.
