Updated Activities – Associated Direction 21 August 2021, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Activities – Associated Direction No 8) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Activities – Associated Direction No 9) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction comes into effect at 12:01am on Saturday 21 August 2021.

Effective as of 12:01am on Saturday 21 August 2021:

Gathering Provisions

  • Private Residence

– Limit of 20 people (including people who ordinarily reside at premises).

  • Private activities

– Food and beverage consumption whilst standing at a density of 1 person per 2 square metres, when seated 3 people per 4 square metres

– Must have an approved contact tracing system if food and beverage consumed while standing

– Limit of 50 people (at non-residential premises)

– Singing is permitted (masks must be worn indoors when in non-residential premises). Performers do not have to wear a mask.

– Dancing is permitted

  • Private function (an invitation-only event or function on a part of relevant licenced premises where there is no access for members of the public (not invited to the event or function))

– Food and beverage consumption whilst standing at a density of 1 person per 2 square metres, when seated 3 people per 4 square metres

– Must have an approved contact tracing system. This must be independent from the contact tracing system used by the relevant licenced premises.

– Limit of 150 people

– Singing is permitted (masks must be worn indoors). Performers do not have to wear a mask.

– Dancing is not permitted except by the bridal party during a wedding ceremony or reception.

– Communal food and beverage areas are not permitted.

Staff and staff areas are not included in calculations.

Note: An approved contact tracing system (QR code) is generated from a COVID Safe Plan.

Contact tracing systems, COVID Safe Plans, COVID Marshals, QR Codes and Physical Distancing still apply.
