Veteran welfare at risk as PM announces closure of veteran community hubs during COVID-19 health

Bravery Trust

With so many veteran support community hubs closed including RSL venues, Bravery Trust want to reassure our community that we remain active, supporting veterans and their families through the COVID-19 health emergency.

Our greatest concern is for the most disadvantaged in our veteran community who need help more than ever. In a crisis of this kind we must not forget those who have an injury or illness as a result of their service to our country and who are unable to put food on the table, pay their bills and rent – they need our support now.

If you – or a loved one – have served or are currently serving in the Australian Defence Force, have a serious injury or illness as a result of your service and are in financial crisis, reach out to us on 1800 BRAVERY (1800 272 837) for a confidential discussion.

Bravery Trust is Australia’s leading organisation providing veteran and family financial support.

Bravery Trust CEO Belinda Wilson: “We are working closely with the Federal, State, Local Governments and the private sector regarding assistance packages that may be available to assist veterans. We are also able to provide financial assistance where there are gaps.”
