VU welcomed a record number of prospective students and visitors to Footscray Park Campus for Open Day 2022 on 21 August.
After two years of virtual Open Days, the campus buzzed with excitement and activity as many thousands of visitors arrived beneath sunny skies, with some 5,500 registering in advance.
A VU Guaranteed VIP room attracted more than 600 Year 11 and 12 students who could obtain a conditional offer on the day. In the first 24 hours, VU had already received nearly 60 applications through this popular early-entry program.
Open Day 2022 was the first time that VU Polytechnic, higher education, and research areas co-located across disciplines, proudly showcasing the ‘One VU’ ethos.
Visitors could wander through hundreds of stands to explore VU’s range of courses and career options, from trades to business, education to sports, and law to engineering, as VU’s team of staff, student ambassadors, alumni and industry partners shared all VU has to offer.
