  • Defence West attending Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition from May 10 to 12, 2022
  • More than 20 WA defence suppliers to showcase capabilities at the Sydney event
  • McGowan Government supporting local small and medium-sized enterprise
  • The innovation that has made Western Australia’s resource sector an economic powerhouse has yielded a gold mine of cutting-edge inventions for the State’s defence suppliers and their growing world-class capability will be unveiled on the international stage at an industry event in Sydney tomorrow.

Defence Industry Minister Paul Papalia will join more than 20 WA suppliers from across the industry at the annual Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition.

As part of the McGowan Government’s tangible support for the sector, WA’s small and medium-sized enterprises have been provided with floor space at Australia’s largest maritime tradeshow, paid for by the WA Government.

In previous years, more than 650 exhibitors from 22 countries attended the convention, along with defence suppliers from 35 countries.

Specialists from WA will showcase their technology and expertise to many international players and decision-makers.

Hydrogen powered vessels, high-fidelity satellite data and cutting-edge heat shielding technology are among the WA innovations on display.
