Want to learn to empower community voices?

Kempsey Shire Council

The Resilience Canopy is a new nationwide program to build strong and challenge-ready communities, able to adapt to future shocks and stresses from natural hazards or other societal events.

The program is building a community of practice around self-led resilience. The Resilience Canopy connects communities with the skills they need to lead their own future ready plans and to a network of partners who can help deliver on those plans through investment, expertise, or in-kind support. The first step begins with Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training.

Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training is on in Kempsey from 21-28 March 2024.

There will be four Sessions ( 2 x half day online and 2 x full day in person), delivered by experienced resilience-building facilitators.

Delivered over four-sessions, the training focusses on upskilling and mentoring a network of community resilience practitioners to lead their communities on their resilience building journey and tap into the networks that can help them.

Kempsey community members are eligible to apply for a sponsored (free) LGA place – made available through the support of The Resilience Canopy partners. Conditions apply and places are limited. Learn more on the website.
