Warm up in winter as CoCreate returns

Winter will light up with a celebration of light, colour and performance when our night of free family fun, CoCreate, returns to Wodonga this week.

Following a successful debut in March, CoCreate is about to fire up again with another night of family fun in and around The Cube Wodonga courtyard on the afternoon and evening of Saturday, June 4.

Melbourne’s Horns of Leroy will headline a glittering list of performance talent, with music, art and entertainment also coming from Liam Dalby, Johnny’s Rockers, the border’s own Flying Fruit Fly Circus, local artist Kade Sarte, Illara Art Projection, Dark Art Saxophone, the Murray Conservatorium and Dinawan Connection, just to name a few.

Wodonga Council’s Manager Tourism and Cultural Services, Kim Strang, said it was a chance for families to rug up and enjoy an evening of free entertainment.

“It will be a colourful celebration of music, creative performances, great food and lots of fun for people of all ages,” she said.

“We’ll have projections on to the wall of Hyphen Wodonga Library Gallery. There will also be an ephemeral art installation, giant inflatable artworks, a mural created by Kade Sarte as well as a range of terrific performances.

“It’s a chance to grab a hot chocolate or something else to keep you warm, catch up with family and friends and reconnect with your community – and it’s all free.”

Outdoor heating, warm drinks and a range of tasty food offerings will help to keep visitors warm and comfortable as the entertainment unfolds between 4pm and 8pm.

There’s no need to book.

The event is fully licensed (no BYO alcohol) and food and drink is available to purchase, or you can bring your own food.
