Warrick Lane Precinct redevelopment update: June 2019

Work on this important Blacktown City Centre transformation project began in April and is progressing well.

The redevelopment will deliver a new underground carpark with access in and out from Main Street as well as Warrick Lane (see diagram on page two).

Commencing July, vehicles will not be able to access Warrick Lane from Main Street. Pedestrian access will remain (see diagram on page one).

Warrick Lane closed to vehicles from 30 June 2019

Work on the Warrick Lane redevelopment began in April 2019 and is progressing well.

Subject to approval, the section of Warrick Lane off Main Street between 97 and 105 Main Street will be closed to vehicles from 30 June 2019. The closure is to allow services to be relocated at the intersection of Warrick Lane and Main Street, and will continue for the remainder of the Warrick Lane Precinct development works.

During the closure:

  • »Vehicles will not be able to access Warrick Lane from Main Street.
  • »Warrick Lane behind Main Street will remain open to traffic with access from Sunnyholt Road.
  • »Access to the rear of all properties on Main Street, including 105 Main Street, will remain. Tenants will continue to have access to the 105 Main Street car park.
  • »Pedestrian access between Main Street and Warrick Lane will remain throughout demolition using the recently installed temporary footpath. During construction there will be changes to pedestrian access between Main Street and Warrick Lane. Details will be finalised and communicated publicly as part of an approved Construction Management Plan.
  • »Traffic controllers will be onsite to help pedestrians and motorists safely around the worksite.
