Council’s crews are attending to a water main break that has occurred this morning on the corner of Martin Street and River Street, Ballina.
Water supply is temporarily unavailable to properties on the following streets:
- Martin Street
- River Street
- Norton Street
- Wynton Lane
- Tamar Street
- Owen Street
- Crane Street
- Fawcett Street
- Regatta Avenue
Ballina Shire Council’s Water and Wastewater team will make every effort to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
Council apologises for the inconvenience and will continue to provide updates via local media and Council’s website once more information is available.
Here’s some things to remember that will assist you during this outage:
- During any water disruption it’s important to leave your taps off as the water may return at any time.
- When water returns it may be discoloured. This is due to sediment. Please run the tap until your water runs clear.
- Your water may appear milky. This is caused by small air bubbles. Don’t be alarmed it is not harmful, and will settle in a short period.
