WBBL returns for 2022-23

Barossa Council

The Weber WBBL is returning to the Barossa for the first time since 2019.

With the WBBL being the world’s best cricket league for women it’s exciting to see the Strikers and their fans back in Nuriootpa.

The Barossa Council Mayor Bim Lange welcomed the return of the WBBL to the Barossa, saying the competition has a strong local following.

“We’re thrilled to work alongside SACA, Nuriootpa Cricket Club and Nuriootpa Centennial Park Authority to bring yet another high quality sporting fixture to the Barossa this summer, and we’re confident of seeing big crowds turn out once again to see the Strikers women in action,” he said.

High-profile events like the WBBL are key to our vision of making the Barossa the State’s best regional sports event tourism destination.
