After a successful weekend the senior football team moves into fourth spot, while the senior netball team are up to sixth with both teams in the mix for finals. There was a great celebration of past premierships, with 1959 premiership player Norm McIntosh along with his son Greg, who played in 1989, addressing the players before the game.
Greg’s wife Samantha, who is the Mayor of Ballarat, was also there to watch, with everyone impressed not only by the plans for the new facility, but also the club wearing the famous red and blue to pay homage to the past.
On the night, all jumpers were auctioned off except for the number four, which was presented to Sally Neagle. The number was her husband Syd’s, who was a 1989 premiership player as well as a life member, coach and President of the club.
