The Department of Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight in WA.
The State’s total remains at 1020.
WA Health is monitoring two active cases of COVID-19 – 1009 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
WA Health has issued advice for travellers who have recently returned from New South Wales after new locally acquired COVID cases have been identified in that state.
All arrivals from NSW must get a COVID-19 test on arrival or within 48 hours of self-quarantine until they return a negative result – they must wear a mask when in transit to their premise or to get a COVID-19 test.
Anyone who has visited the exposure sites at the specified times should get tested immediately for COVID-19, self-quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure must be tested immediately and then present for a day 11 COVID-19 test.
Arrivals from NSW since June 11, 2021 should monitor their symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 if unwell.
All people who have arrived into WA from New South Wales are asked to continue to monitor updated exposure sites on the NSW Health website (external site).

To date, 97 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 53 of the Alpha (UK variant) strain, 15 of the Beta (South African variant) strain, one of the Gamma (Brazilian variant) strain and 28 of the Delta (Indian variant) strain.
