The Fathering Project
A national survey of fathers and father figures conducted by leading not-for-profit The Fathering Project, has provided an important snapshot of the challenges involved with being a Dad.
Key survey findings included:
- Only 45% of all respondents spent one-on-one time with their kids every day.
- 75% agreed that their role as a father was central to their identity.
- 45% felt they weren’t doing enough for their children.
- 59% were not satisfied with the amount of time they were able to dedicate to their kids.
- 71% were the main financial contributor to the household, with 60% saying this causes stress on their role as a father.
